LABOUR RELATIONS
We are members of the LWO Employer’s Organisation, which allows us to represent our clients at the CCMA should they choose to join the same Employer’s Organisation, on any of the following:
- Conciliation
- Point in Limine
- Arbitration
- Coaching of management regarding procedural and substantive fairness
- Drafting of charges and ensuring charges are in accordance with company disciplinary code and procedure
- Chairing of disciplinary enquiries
- Advising client of risks associated with dismissal as well as strengths and weaknesses of the case in the event of it being referred to the CCMA
- Chairing of appeal hearings
- Drafting of policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation
- Implementation of policies and procedures
- Creating awareness with regards to all relevant legislation; BCEA, LRA, OHSA etc
- Up-skill and assist management with identifying and minimising potential IR risks in all people management practices, together with taking corrective action where applicable
- Assist in terminations based on misconduct, poor performance or incapacity due to operational requirements or ill-health
- Union Negotiations including union rights, demands, attendances and collective agreements
- Industrial Action, specifically strikes and lock outs
- Employment Contracts, including permanent, temporary, fixed term and limited duration
- Rescission and review applications
- Opposing applications for condonation
